I bet after the Narutard journal entry you're all wondering what my take on anime/manga is?

No? Well... okay...

But I in fact, adore it.
The detailing mostly, how intricately done everything is.

Whilst I'm a bit behind on watching this anime, I'm pretty much up to date with it now.

What anime? Code Geass.

I felt the need to tell anyone that hasn't seen it, about it.

It's actually pretty damn good.

If you've seen Death Note, you'll find a crazy amount of simularities between the two. But CG manages to keep a nice distance from a Death Note type plot.

In fact, through Season 1, the juicy episodes were towards the end. Although CG delivered some nice twists throughout, I did feel a bit gutted when certain twists were pretty much dealt with in the next episode.

I've yet to start on Season 2. The Season 1 end made me feel like I shouldn't dive straight into Season 2. Not in a bad way, but because as over-done as the season ending scene was, it was still good. So I want to savour it for a bit.

Throughout CG, there is a lovely aesthetically pleasing "royalness" about everything. You can tell the creators have sort of studied British royalty etc. They even seem to have named Knightmare models after British things, such as Lancelot (a knight of the round table), they even through in place names for some models.

Add to that a futuristic spice (as it's set in the future!), you get a lovely visual feast.

Another part i'd like to pay special mention to is the music. I'm not awesome with desciptions, but for the most part, the music plays an integral part. It really adds something to each scene. Wether it be victory, tragedy...

I love how the Nightmare track gives Knightmare combat scenes a sort of "dance" feel to them. Not dance as in "IBIZAAAAAAA EUPHORIAAAA" as in like two people dancing. The Nightmare theme has a sort of, latino sound to it.

The characters also seem a little different to conventional anime characters in the sense they seem taller and thinner. Another thing that is well done, might I add.

I even loved how they animated tap water.

So, if you like anime EVEN JUST A LITTLE BIT, I ask that you give Code Geass a go.
